Weekly Challenge #21 - Tuesday with Cuttin' and Stampin'

#21
Challenge...Use a Photo
May 28th - June 3rd

For this week's challenge we are making a project using a photo.  And here is what I have made to share with you today...

I went a bought a wooden craft photo frame from one of my local craft stores, then I a dark brown ink pad and ran it around the edges of the frame, after doing that I thought that I would just go ahead and run the ink pad along the front of the frame. While the ink was trying on the frame I took one of my circle punches and punched out several circles of various doggy themed scrapbooking paper that I had. Once all of my circles were punched and going through three different adhesives to find one that would actually work with sticking to the wooden frame. I attached the circles to the front of the picture frame. The picture that I added to this picture frame is of my fur-baby, Scarlett sitting up on the edge of her bed with her little tail hanging over watching the Puppy Bowl on TV.

Then I added a bow from some ribbon that I had that says "woof" on it along with some paw prints.

And at the top I had a sticker with pop dots as well as a button on each side of the sticker.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting today.

Monochromatic Blog Hop with Scraps To Treasure

Cover Photo

Hi!  This is Scrappin' Robin Lane and I want to welcome you to the Scraps To Treasure Team's Monochromatic Blog Hop.  Our goal at STT is to use up all our scraps and leftover embellishments to create wonderful layouts, cards and other projects.  This month we are doing that using different shades of only one color.
Up for grabs is this RAK from our hostess, Paula at
http://preciouspagesbypaula.blogspot.com that will be going out to one lucky hopper that is a follower of all the blogs in the hop and has left a comment for each entry.

Included in the RAK are:

10 My Mind's Eye Laundry Line Diecuts
2 Basic Grey Bling It On Rubons and Rhinestones
  2 Glitz Frosting Bling
  1 Martha Stewart Glitter Alphas
  1 EK Success Inspirables Embellishments
  1 Special Moments Embellishments
  1 Treasured Memories Metal Tags

For my entry I opted to create a card using one of my favorite colors – Purple, I used five different shades of Purple on my card. My flowers were left over embellishments from a previous project, and I cut my Butterflies out of a paint swatch that I had used part of it on a previous project as well.

I hope that you have enjoyed stopping by and seeing this creation and now you are ready to move through the following blogs and view more great monochromatic creations.

Weekly Challenge #17 with Cuttin and Stampin

Happy Friday!
and
Welcome to...

#17
Challenge:  Children's Birthday
Dates:  April 30th, 2013 through May 6th, 2013

For my project I made a digital birthday card using my program Storybook Creator Plus along with the digital kits, Cheerful Power Palette, Cheerful Birthday Addition and Cakes and Candles Addition.
I added a heavy shadow to all of the elements on the card to help them stand out and in case you did not know when you add a shadow to your elements once you have your project printed the elements actually look as if they are going to jump off of the page.
