Hiding In My Craft Room...#73

This weeks theme was to make something with a Christmas theme, my favorite time of the year.

I decided to make a digital Christmas card.  I love making digital projects but I have put it on the back burner lately with playing with my Cricut so much, which I also love.

The digital program is Storybook Creator from Creative Memories, they have so many wonderful kits to work with.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting today, I hope that you have enjoyed your visit as well as my digital Christmas card, as much as I have enjoyed sharing with you.

Now,  for my project that I made to share with you today...

I made a tag to go with my digi stamp, a fairy.  I used the favorite colors of mine and my Daughters, pink, purple, and blue.  I torn some of the paper to give it little different affect.  I added some sparkly to the fairies wings and crown, as well as the flowers.  I added some gems around the hole of the tag in the same colors as the papers that I used.  I lastly added a shiny ribbon to the top of the tag.

I hope that our little hop has left you inspired to work with some digi stamps.

TIC - TAC - TOE BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Tic - Tac - Toe Blog Hop
with the Scraps to Treasure Team.

You should have started at...

It's that scrap time again and this month we are playing with the following Tic - Tac - Toe Board, where we pick three across, down, or diagonal to use along with our scraps.

This is my first time working with this kind of a challenge and I most say it was really fun.

For my project I choose to go diagonally, which means I get to work with a Butterfly, a Tag, and Some Ribbon.
Here is what I came up with...

I took a card and laced in some red ribbon at the bottom.  I had two tags that I embossed with dots attached them just above the laced ribbon and I also added the same ribbon to the top of the tags. And lastly I added a couple of  Butterflies that I also embossed with a pretty design to the top of each tag.  Everything but the card itself came from my scrap box.

I hope that this hop has inspired you to try your own Tic - Tac - Toe.

Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win a Close To My Heart Stamp Set.

Your next stop should be with...

If you get lost along the way here is the entire line up for the day...

Christmas Bow

Happy  Tuesday!!

As most people are getting everything ready for Turkey Day next week I am busy getting things ready for Christmas.

For today's post I have made a Christmas Bow to put on someone's gift.

This bow was so easy to make!!  I used the Cricut Cartridge...3D Bows, this is a Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cartridge.

I used white card stock for the back of the bow and some Christmas patterned paper for the front of the bow.

Lastly I added a few pearls to the center of the bow to add a little bling.

I love this Cartridge.  I will be making all of my gift bows with it.  I am actually working on a whole set for my Daughter's gifts, seeing I like to coordinator gifts by wrapping each persons or family in one kind of wrapping paper so that it is easy to pull out from under the Christmas tree for gatherings and so on.  This year for my Daughter's gifts I got the wrapping paper 40% off of course at Hobby Lobby, but what is so great about it is that they have matching scrapbook paper, how cool is that.  With that matching scrapbook paper I am making bows and tags to go on all of her gifts to match the wrapping paper.  I love it!  Once I get them done I will be posting pictures so keep an eye out.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting today, I hope that you have enjoyed your visit as well as my Christmas Gift Bow, as much as I have enjoyed sharing with you.

Until Next Time...

Happy Crafting,

Robin Lane

Veteran's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Veteran's Day Blog Hop!!

Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation in 1954 to change the name to Veterans Day as a way to honor those who served in all American wars. The day honors military veterans with parades and speeches across the nation. A national ceremony takes place at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

America is the Land of the Free, because of the brave. Veteran’s Day celebrates and acknowledges the service of all United States Military Veterans. Today we honor the brave men and women who have served in the American Military. With great respect, and a heart full of pride, we say a great big THANK YOU to those who have served. Please hop with us as we pay homage to the people who help keep America the Land of the Free.

You should have started at Melissa's Blog. If you did not, please go back and start from the beginning. You don't want to miss any of these fabulous projects!

I made a very simple card for today, I several circles that I had cut from two different printed papers, one with different red, white, and blue sayings, and one blue with white stars. I placed these circles around on a white card. I then added a raised scalloped circle that I stamped with fireworks and the words "thank you". I also took my red the blue ink pads along the edge of the card and the scalloped circle.

I hope that you have enjoying our little hop, please be sure to head on over to...

If you get lost along the way here is the entire line up for today's blog hop...

Hiding In My Craft Room - Challenge #71 - Super Scraps Saturday

Happy Super Scraps Saturday!!

Today with Hiding In My Craft Room is for
Challenge...#71

hidinginmycraftroom.com

Super Scraps Saturday, where we use anything out of our scrap boxes to create a project, a great way to use up some of those scraps, I don't know about you guys but my scrap box is a little full.

For my project I made a real simple Christmas card, everything was already cut out from previous Christmas cards that I have made in the past.

I took a plain white card attached burgundy, hunter green card stock circles, striped and music themed paper circles to the card in a various pattern.  These circles as I mentioned were already cut out just hanging around in my scrap box.

I then took a hunter green ink pad and inked the edges of the card.

Then I took a white scalloped circle that was in my scrap box and stamped a Christmas Tree on it from one of my Close to My Heart stamp sets, once that was done I again inked the edges of the circle.  I attached it with foam circles that I build up with two circles on each side to give it a little more highth.

And last but not least I added a bow above the Christmas Tree that says "Merry Christmas".

Thank you for stopping by and visiting today, I hope that you have enjoyed your visit as well as my Super Scraps Saturday Christmas Card, as much as I have enjoyed sharing with you.

Theme Day Thursday - Thanksgiving Table or Home Decor

Welcome to Theme Day Thursday!!

For today's project with My Cricut Craft Room we were to make some kind of Thanksgiving Home Decor.

So, I took a Ceramic Tile that I got from Home Depot and added some fancy cuts to all four edges from the cartridge...Elegant Edges, as well as adding some little orange gems with the iRock.

With the cartridge Art Philosophy I added the words..."Count Your Blessings and Give Thanks".

Then I had to add a little Turkey which I cut from the cartridge Celebrate Flourish.

Once all of my cuts were attached to the tile I then added Mod Podge over the whole tile.

And last but not least on the back of the tile I added a piece of thin cork.

Thank you for stopping by visiting today.

My Menu Board

Happy Hump Day!!

I saw a menu board online a while back and bought all of the stuff to make it, but to be honest it just got to much for me in making it.

So, I came up with one that does work for me and my family.

I bought two collage picture frames at WalMart each frame holds four pictures.
I took some kitchen themed scrapbook paper that I had and cut to size to fit into each frame.
I then took some letter stickers to add the days of the week.

I then had my wonderful Husband to hang my frames on the wall in the Kitchen.
Now all I have to do is take a dry erase marker to write on each day what we will be having for dinner that night and it comes off with an eraser or a wipe.

This project was so easy.  And now I don't have to hear...Mom, what's for dinner.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting, I hope that you have enjoyed your visit and my Menu Board as much as I have enjoyed sharing with you.

Until Next Time...Happy Crafting,

Robin Lane
