Tag Card

Happy Hump Day aka Wednesday!

I just wanted to share with you something that I made this weekend as a challenge for one of the groups that I am in on Facebook, called Crafty Corner.  We were challenged to make a tag.

Well, I had some cards here that I had found that are shaped like a tag so I used that for my challenge and decorated it up. The paper that I used is from Tim Holtz and the stamp sentiment is from Close to My Heart, the gems are from Paper Studio, and I can not remember what company the flowers are from I just remember that I got them from Michael's.

So, with no forth ado here is my Tag Card...

Thank you for stopping by and visiting.

Our goal is to inspire you to go through your stash and create! If you would like to join this team you are welcome to share what you have too with new themes, challenges and more every month. Just contact Robin Scott or Lissa Marie on our blogs or on Facebook, if you are interested in joining our Scraps to Treasure Team too!

If you have stumbled upon this hop, and would love to start from the beginning, our host this month is...
Robin Lane from Create-a-Latte .

Fancy Fold Cards is the theme today, how fun and different then the ordinary card.

Welcome to my blog today, I am so excited to be hosting this months blog hop and I have some wonderful blog candy to give away. But first I would like to share with you my fancy fold card. The card fold that I chose was the Trifold Shutter Card. I have actually been wanting to make one of these cards for a while now and finally did it, yay. I got my diagram with measurements to make my card from Operation Write Home. I used white card stock for my card base then once I had everything that needed to be scored and cut on the base I took my ink pad from Close to My Heart in the color of Chocolate and ink stressed all of the edges of the card as well as stamping my sentiments. The stamp sets that I used are all from Close to My Heart. And the paper that I used were all scraps from a paper pack called "Dotty For You" which is also from Close to My Heart. I also attached a few jeweled Butterflies (that went along perfect with my Butterfly paper) that I got on closeout from Michael's.

Now, for the blog candy...
I have got a huge bundle of goodies to give away to one lucky person, this bundle is packed FULL of all kinds of goodies for you to make lots and lots of cards. In order for your chance to win you must be sure to visit each of the blogs in our hop today and show some love by leaving each of them a comment letting them know what you thought of their fancy fold card that they made to share with you.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, enough to leave a little love through commenting. Our host is having a nice giveaway and a variety of blogs may be offering some blog candy as well, they all have their own wishes for you to win on their own blog, so don't forget to read the rules for each crafter has different requirements if they are offering any extra’s.

Weekly Challenge # 15 - Saturday with Cuttin and Stampin

Happy Saturday!
and
Welcome to Challenge #15
with

This weeks challenge was to make...
Thank You cards

Dates... April 16 - April 22, 2013

For my card I used a coffee themed set of stamps that I had and have never gotten around to using yet, Close to My Heart Ink Pad in the color Chocolate, Brown Ribbon from Paper Studio, and a card that has a little die-cut window on it.

I first took my chocolate ink pad and ink stressed the edges of the card as well as the edges of the cut-out window. Second I stamped my little cup of goodness on the inside of the card where it could be seen through the cut-out window. Third I added my strip of  ribbon to the bottom of the card. Fourth I stamped "Thanks a Latte" just above the ribbon. The last but not least, my fifth and final step I took one of my coffee stamps and stamped coffee beans in different places on the card.

I really like the way that this card turned out.

I had so much fun with this hop, it's all about Spring with a little bling.  I had so many idea's for this hop but I finally decided on making a cute little bird house.
I took a castle shaped bird house and painted it with glitter paint in the colors of purple, blue, and pink, then I added my bling to it.
What is better than glitter and bling?
